In the context of efforts to integrate Czech universities into the global context, pressure to publish exclusively in English has been growing in recent decades. If we add to this trend the complexity and difficulty of comprehension of academic texts, which are increasingly less accessible to the layman, it is inevitable that scientific research is closing into its own world. As a result, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the educated public to access the conclusions of the latest research by Czech scientists. The only way not to lose contact with the educated public is through popularisation. Communication with the media and making our topics accessible to the general public is therefore one of our key priorities.
